Assuming you’re well prepared and have done your homework before walking into the car dealership to negotiate the vehicle lease, then there be direct with the dealer and let them know:

  • You want to lease a vehicle, not buy
  • You consider yourself knowledgeable about car leasing
  • You very familiar about the car and model you want to lease
  • You want to discuss selling price, not monthly payments
  • You are willing to lease a car today if you get a good deal
  • You’re willing to consider other dealers if you don’t get what you’re seeking
  • Know you’re bottom line, your thresh-hold

Remember, with any negotiation for leasing a car, the consumer holds the upper hand by having as much time to prepare and do the homework, the ability to look at various dealers and shop around, and the ability to walk away if you don’t like the deal.
