I like this - it’s short, brief and covers all the main points of how to get out of a car lease, as well leads you to a few sources for additional information on car leasing. Hey - they even include a link to us, so I gotta give them some props.
AutoLeaseBusters.com provides an overview of how to exit a car lease, how to break a car lease, transfer a car lease and assuming a car lease. While the read is not as easy as most, there are industry news topics placed among the car leasing information. While the site looks new, we can only assume thier soon to come online with a solid background on exiting a car lease. We’ll keep an eye on this one - and any others - like LeaseTrader, EasyRelease, Swapalease, Leaseboys., etc.

Elisabeth Leamy is “Good Morning America’s” consumer correspondent and author of “The Savvy Consumer.”

Thanks to Good Morning America’s consumer correspondent and author of “The Savvy Consumer” Elisabeth Leamy, she’s helped consumers give more insight into car leasing and how to avoid the risks of leasing a junk car.
It’s true what she said - Interest rates are on the rise, and as a result many consumers choose to lease a car rather than buy a car to avoid costly loans. Though what’s not true is her statement that leasing can be a complicated and confusing experience. Well, ok, for many it is, but that’s why were here. If you’re one of the many who find leasing a car complicated or confusing, you’re not alone, and I HIGHLY recommend you visit AutoTraderLeaseGuide.com before you even open the newspaper to view any cars for sale or for lease. If you want to get the whole skinny on here article on “When Leasing a Car - How to Avoid the Lemons“, have a read of her article. Though to quickly summarize her main points of what to learn…
- Decide whether car leasing or car buying is best for you.
- Negotiate the price of the car before you negotiate the terms of the lease.
- Keep in mind that you are responsible for the costs of maintaining and repairing the car, even though after two to five years it won’t be yours anymore. Some lease deals include maintenance but may charge you a deductible each time you go to the shop.
- Before agreeing to the car lease deal, read and understand the handy one-page leasing form required by federal law and the pages and pages of details. Ask the car dealer if you can take the paperwork home and study it. If the dealer says no, march right off the lot.
Good article Elisabeth - though wish you came across AutoTraderLeaseGuide.com before writing it - may have helped more consumers with their decision to lease a car versus buying a car - hey, that’s what were here for
